Things I have done to help make it fair.  If you ask or call I will tell if you someone else is looking at a date.  Again you can ask, but we will never call and pressure you.

Here is an instance that I really feel uncomfortable with, but there is no way around the problem.

• Couple 1 calls a month ahead and sets a date to preview samples.  They choose a Saturday.
• Three days before the Saturday meeting another Couple II inquires for the same date and makes an appointment for Friday.
• Couple 2 goes home and decides they want to book.  They call the morning of Saturday with a deposit.

You wouldn’t think things like this happen very often, but Murphy’s law dictates that it actually happens quite often with every possible set of circumstances.  The best advice, I can give is, If you are meeting with a bunch of photographers and are not sure which one to go with don’t worry about this, but if you have gone through websites and blogs and you know this is the vendor for you don’t wait.  This advice goes for Wedding Planners, DJ, Cinematographers.  The talented vendors tend book up fast.
